Student Office Assistant

The Ohio Business Service Center (BSC) seeks a student assistant to support daily office operations. The role involves interacting with campus stakeholders, handling administrative tasks, and contributing to smooth service delivery across procurement, travel, employment coordination, and finance/operational accounting.

Responsibilities
  • Answer phones and emails, and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Write written communications and support staff with day-to-day operations.
  • Assist with processing BSC tickets and documenting actions.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and peers to accomplish tasks and address routine, well‑defined problems.
  • Perform entry‑level administrative duties under close supervision.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: Currently enrolled in an accredited post‑secondary institution during the current, immediate previous, or immediate upcoming semester; able to follow instructions and meet deadlines; basic knowledge of office software and communication tools.
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified. Departments may have additional requirements.
  • Working Condition / Physical Demands: Primarily desk‑based with extensive use of desktop computers; occasional travel to attend meetings and programs.
