POSITION SUMMARY
The Receptionist serves as the welcoming face of the school, greeting and directing visitors with a friendly demeanor. This role is essential for responding to inquiries from both staff and visitors, ensuring everyone receives the necessary information or is appropriately referred to other parties. The Receptionist plays a key role in facilitating a smooth and efficient flow of communication within the school environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint
- Background Clearance
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Customer Service experience preferred

Skills-based Competencies
Required to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment including pertinent software applications; adhering to safety practices and procedures; promoting activities and/or events; screening telephone calls; using general office software applications.
Knowledge-based Competencies
Required to perform basic math, read a variety of manuals, and/or present information to others; and understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Answers district office telephone system for the purpose of responding to inquiries, transferring calls, and/or taking messages.
- Distributes items within the site (mail, special deliveries, packages, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of distributing materials to appropriate parties.
- Greets individuals entering the building (visitors, parents, students, vendors, etc.) for the purpose of responding to inquiries and/or directing individuals to appropriate locations in accordance with established building security procedures.
