Surveryor Crew Chief

Overview

Archer Western Construction, LLC. is currently seeking a Party Chief for the GDOT SR316 Bundle 2 in Athens, GA. The Party Chief supervises members of the survey crew, performs topography surveys, field layout, and coordinates with the jobsite survey manager. This role may involve working as a one‑person crew and other related duties.

• Oversee field surveying tasks such as topography, field layout, boundary layout, and data collection.
• Coordinate with the survey manager (which may be offsite) and project management staff for daily operations.
• Care for survey equipment and understand the usage of data collection equipment and technology updates.
• May be required to work as a one‑person crew and may perform other related duties as required.

• 3–5 years verifiable experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures and to communicate effectively with co‑workers and supervisors.
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods.
• Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screening.
