East Athens Baptist Church in Athens, Georgia, is seeking a spiritually grounded and musically gifted Part-Time Worship Leader to lead and coordinate music for Sunday worship services. The ideal candidate will thoughtfully blend traditional hymns and contemporary worship music to lead meaningful, engaging, and Christ-centered worship music. This individual will work collaboratively with church leadership and musicians to support the overall mission and vision of the church.

• Plan and lead music for weekly Sunday worship services
• Select music that integrates both traditional and contemporary styles
• Coordinate and lead one weekly rehearsal
• Recruit, encourage, and develop volunteer musicians and vocalists
• Collaborate with the Pastor to align music with sermon themes.
• Provide musical leadership for special services (e.g., Christmas Eve, Easter, etc.) as agreed upon
• Maintain music resources, equipment, and licensing compliance

• A growing Christian faith and lifestyle consistent with the church’s values
• Demonstrated experience leading worship in a church setting
• Ability to blend traditional hymns with contemporary worship music in a cohesive manner
• Vocal proficiency and instrumental ability (piano and/or guitar preferred)
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Senior Pastor, staff, and volunteers

• Sunday morning worship service
• One weekly rehearsal
• Preparation and planning time (estimated total commitment: approximately 8-10 hours per week)

• $15,000 annually, commensurate with experience
• Paid on a bi-weekly or monthly basis (to be determined)
