Duties/Responsibilities (Core)
Independently lead, teach, manage K-12 grade students and chaperoning adults through multidisciplinary classes in an outdoor setting. Class subjects offered include a focus on coastal ecology, life science, earth science and marine science.

Duties/Responsibilities (Operations)
General support of overall center operations including maintenance and upkeep of facilities (dorms, classrooms, education materials, vehicles), operating a UGA (14-passenger) mini-bus, dining hall support and assistance, and projects as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities (Animal Care)
Animal care husbandry and maintenance for residential education reptiles, amphibians, marine invertebrates, coastal fishes, and more.

Position SummaryThis posting is for a temporary Environmental Educator at Burton 4-H Center located on Tybee Island, Georgia. The primary responsibility is to independently lead K-12 grade students through multidisciplinary classes in an outdoor setting. Class subjects offered include a focus on coastal ecology, life science, earth science and marine science. Other responsibilities include animal care, lead staff duties, general support of overall center operations.
Relevant/PreferredEducation, Experience, Licensure, Certification In Position
First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
