Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Office of Research Integrity and Safety Support Services Coordinator, the Instructional Designer supports the mission of research education through e-Learning course design and the development of instructional materials. The Instructional Designer collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to create online learning that translates complex ideas into teaching tools to maximize learner understanding and contributes to safety training development in the Office of Research Integrity and Safety.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or

Competencies:

• Solid technical expertise and proficiency in creating interactive online content using authoring tools, preferably Articulate Storyline.
• Familiarity with working within a learning management system.
• Familiarity with video/audio/photo editing programs.
• Strong PC skills and expertise in Microsoft Office (especially advanced PowerPoint) and Adobe Photoshop.
• Aptitude for effective visual, oral, and written communication.
• Ability to adapt to ad hoc requests, scope changes, and remain productive in a fluctuating work environment.
• Motivation for continuous professional development and ability to stay current with emerging technologies.
