Position Summary

The Department of Psychology at the University of Georgia () is seeking to fill a Lecturer position beginning Fall 2026. The position is a nine‑month position that is renewable and promo table within the Lecturer track  successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of core undergraduate courses within our psychology major requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Teach core undergraduate psychology courses as part of the psychology major curriculum.
  • Develop and deliver course materials, assignments, and assessments in compliance with UGA policies.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of research and scholarship in psychology to inform teaching.
  • Provide academic support to students through office hours, feedback, and mentorship.
Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related field is required.
  • Experience and success in teaching undergraduate psychology courses is preferred.
  • Strong background in quantitative methods such as undergraduate research methods and statistics is strongly encouraged.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
  • Expertise in quantitative methods (e.g., undergraduate research methods and statistics) is strongly encouraged.
