The mission of the Beta Academy Instructional Coach is to establish a world-class classroom through a culture of joyful rigor and develop scholars and leaders who can contribute on a community, national, and international level.

60% of scholars achieve Meets or above on benchmarks and state tests

Cohort earns Master Level Teacher status on Observation Rubric by their third year of employment.
2. Meet School Culture Goals- 90% Satisfactory on Coach Feedback Surveys
- 100% of your cohort:
- (K-3) awards each scholar a minimum of 1 Sunshine Note a month.
- (2-5) awards Beta Bucks a minimum 12 times throughout the day.
Measured by Teacher Observation Rubric section 2.1 for joyful teaching
- (6-8) awards tribe points a minimum 12 times throughout the day.
- (9-12) mentors a minimum of 7 scholars a year in successfully receiving their Ba patch.

- At least five years of classroom teaching experience is required. More than five years of teaching experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in coaching and/or leading a team is preferred.
- For specific coaching positions, experience in the subject area or grade band is preferred.
Instructional Coaching Vision
Beta Academy is dedicated to creating a learning environment that is engaging, joyful, and dynamic for both scholars and teachers. In our commitment to foster both strong academic achievement and the Beta culture of excellence, we have developed an instructional coaching program to support teachers in building these classrooms. Coaches model the rigorous bar that Beta expects. They work collaboratively with teachers to support and challenge them by sharpening their skill set.
Coaches use team building strategies such as co-planning, role-playing, reflective questioning, consistent and immediate feedback, and real-time coaching to offer differentiated and authentic professional development to all teachers.

Develop a Culture of Community
- Create a sense of community among the coach’s team
- Assist team in co-planning and thought sharing
- Act as school liaison within coaching groups (helping to problem-solve, etc.)
- Promote and maintain a positive and effective school climate by ensuring that all interactions with staff, scholars, parents, and the public at large are prompt, efficient, helpful and friendly
- Establish and maintain professional and cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders: parents, scholars, staff, neighbors, and partners
