Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
The primary function of the Admissions Outreach and Engagement Coordinator is to oversee the essential communications for the Office of Admissions. This includes but is not limited to answering phones, responding to emails, providing excellent customer service and building relationships with stakeholders and prospective applicants. In addition, this position will demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills by delivering presentations and participating in public speaking events to support admissions and enrollment processes.
The Admissions Outreach and Engagement Coordinator will also assist with event coordination and prospective student engagement as well as provide applicant support.

Prospective Student Engagement:
* Coordinate and attend admissions events, including recruitment events, conferences for prospective applicants and pre-med students, workshops, and events for faculty and advisors.
* Lead event logistics and prepare materials for Health Profession Fairs and tabling events.
* Collaborate with the Director of Admissions to develop and execute strategic recruitment initiatives.
* Drive recruitment strategy and prospective student engagement.
* Manage the logistics and support the needs of pathway programs.
* Collaborate with campus and community partners to execute effective engagement strategies.
* Review student records, input data, and generate letters and/or lists utilizing the student database.
* Follow up with students to verify any application issues, including discrepancies or missing information.
* Represent the School of Medicine at events as needed.
Percentage of time 50 Duties/Responsibilities
Communications and Applicant Support and Outreach:
* Serve as a primary point of contact for applicant inquiries, providing guidance on admissions, interviews, and enrollment management, working with applicants throughout the admissions process.
* Oversee the communications of the Admissions Office, including but not limited to responding to email, answering phones, and public speaking.
