Limited-Term Lecturer in Jewish History

We invite applications for a one-year limited‑term lecturer position in Jewish History, renewable for up to two additional years, with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2026. This joint appointment is in the Departments of History and Religion. The position carries an undergraduate teaching load of eight courses per academic year (four courses per semester). The successful candidate should have a documented record of teaching and be able to offer courses in diverse areas such as American Jewish History, European Jewish History, Holocaust Studies, Jewish immigration, Modern Judaism, and Jewish‑Christian Relations.

The lecturer will also develop new course offerings aligned with the goal of expanding the Jewish Studies curriculum.

Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. degree (preferred) with a terminal‑degree exception approved for advanced Ph.D. candidates.
