Clinical Assistant Professor

The School of Computing at the University of Georgia invites applications for a full‑time, 9‑month non‑tenure‑track position starting August 2026. The role centers on teaching, corporate outreach, program coordination, and applied research focused on professional practice and pedagogy.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science and related disciplines.
  • Engage with industry partners to support student career preparation through internships, corporate outreach, and career‑development curricula.
  • Coordinate programs and initiatives that link academic instruction with real‑world applications.
  • Conduct applied and/or pedagogical research, with a focus on scholarship that informs teaching practice.
  • Demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and student engagement.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience that enables support of student career preparation.
  • Teaching experience that reflects a commitment to educational excellence.
  • Documented accomplishments in a professional field for those without a terminal degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Significant record of professional work and achievements beyond the minimum time requirement.
  • Experience in curriculum development, industry partnership, or research conduct in applied settings.
