Position Summary

Provide appropriate instruction in a safe, orderly learning environment for all students assigned. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, student assessment, curriculum development, and extracurricular participation.

Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree.
  • Certification:
    Valid Georgia Teacher’s Certificate.

    Written and oral communication, student management, supervisory and leadership, instructional strategies, multitasking, computer competence, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates appropriate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Performs routine duties and tasks with little or no direct supervision.

  • Participates in professional organizations and staff development activities.
  • Shares information with others and applies what is learned to the classroom.
  • Accepts new challenges in a professional manner.
  • Facilitates home‑school communication by holding conferences, telephoning, and sending written communications; works effectively with colleagues and exhibits the fundamentals of good public/customer service.
