CompensationStarting at $64,000 annually.
26‑27 stipend up to $5,000 (Certification required).
Signing bonus up to $4,000.
Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) teachers can earn up to $102,800.
- 1 year of experience: $9,800
- 5 years of experience: $96,800
- 10 years of experience: $99,800
- 15 years of experience: $102,800
- Write accurate, aligned, data‑driven IEPs for students on your caseload.
- Develop rigorous lessons in your specific content area for 1:1 blended learning environments.
- Set ambitious goals with your students and monitor their progress while encouraging them through frequent and persistent feedback.
- Track student growth and use data and coaching feedback to create student growth plans when needed for achievement concerns.
- Build transformable relationships with students and families, providing regular, consistent communication with parents via phone, video conference, email, or district‑approved website.
- Create a physical or virtual classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
- Collaborate with co‑planner to work through daily lesson plans and add resources when needed to fit students’ needs.
- Meet regular deadlines for daily lesson plans, submit grades, and work samples.
- Work on a team of teachers and leaders to provide consistency, support, and accountability to all students.
- Work with content teams in Professional Development to norm on and improve student learning.
- Conduct weekly tutorials outside of regular class time to provide additional instruction and support to students.
- Complete supervision duties on campus that support student safety, including but not limited to morning duty, lunch duty, dismissal, detention, and after school duty.
- Complete compliance tasks such as updating service logs and IEP progress reports.
- Grow professionally in your craft by both receiving and giving feedback on a consistent basis from DOI, School Leader, Administration Team.
- Persist in the face of challenges, learn from mistakes, and set a strong example of character for your students.
- Be available by phone, email, or video conferencing to confer with campus leaders, collaborators, students, and/or parents.
- Facilitate dyslexia instruction for qualifying students as needed.
- Provide personal care services as needed.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).
- Texas Educator Certification in Special Education, or willingness to join ACP to obtain certification in the first year.
- Strong ability to navigate web‑related applications and technology.
- Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms.

- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
- Ability to work urgently in a fast‑paced and results‑oriented environment.

- Compensation – This position is an exempt, salaried position; salary offers are commensurate with experience.
- Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 toward a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20+ hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.
