Position Summary
This position will support a turfgrass breeding program by assisting with field maintenance, sample collection, laboratory processing, data entry, and preliminary data analysis. The individual will gain research experience and professional development with the potential to continue as a graduate student in the fall semester.
Responsibilities- Assist with field trial setup, maintenance, and data collection.
- Organize, label, and process plant samples in lab or office.
- Data entry and preparation of spreadsheets for analysis.
- Assist in UAV-based image capture and equipment setup.
- Attend team meetings and provide research updates.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of research space.
- Experience in turfgrass management, research, agriculture, or a related field.
- Interest in pursuing graduate studies.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and in teams.
- Basic understanding of plant sciences or agriculture.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions.
Work outdoors in summer heat, lift up to 40 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods. Driving as needed to perform job duties.
