Position Summary
The Department of Poultry Science at the University of Georgia seeks an Assistant Professor of Poultry/Avian Physiologist for a nine‑month academic year, 70% research, 25% teaching, 5% service.
Responsibilities- Establish innovative research and teaching programs in poultry/avian physiology.
- Potential focuses include reproductive physiology, avian fertility, stress physiology, neurophysiology, comparative physiology, and embryology.
- Obtain extramural funding to advance poultry science research, education, and industry innovation.
- Collaborate with faculty and industry partners; demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Guest lecturing in Poultry Science courses, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, and support student recruitment.
Ph.D. in poultry or avian science or related field.
Preferred Qualifications- Record of collaborative research, teaching, and external grant success.
- Experience developing applied science programs and mentoring students.
Tenure track, 9‑month academic appointment, start date October 1, 2025.
SalaryCommensurate with qualifications and experience.
