Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Development serves as a frontline fundraiser for the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences and is responsible for raising financial support for college-wide priorities as well as priorities across departments and programs within the College. Through frequent travel and in-person meetings, the Assistant Director of Development will qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual prospects and donors in support of Franklin College, with a focus on securing gifts in the $1,500-$50,000 range.

The Assistant Director of Development will also assist with the identification and referral of new major gift prospects capable of making gifts of $50,000 or more, working in collaboration with Franklin development leadership. When appropriate, participation in major gift solicitations will be encouraged as part of broader fundraising strategies.

This position will help plan and execute philanthropic strategy for the Division of Biological Sciences, the Division of Physical & Mathematical Sciences, and other areas or geographic territories as assigned. The Assistant Director of Development will work closely with…
