Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Manager, the Student Experience and Programs Coordinator will manage and administer student programs and initiatives across the Carl Vinson Institute of Government. The role includes coordination of existing programs (Vinson Institute Fellows Program, PROPEL Rural Scholars Program, Georgia Legislative Internship Program) and development of new student orientation, engagement, professional development, and recruitment efforts.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in higher education, student personnel administration, or related field.
  • Experience in career services, student affairs, and/or mentorship programs.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as liaison among students, faculty, staff, alumni, and partner departments to support programmatic operations.
  • Coordinate schedules, timelines, logistics, and communications for student programs.
  • Supervise one to two Graduate Assistants and co‑lead program initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR and Office of Communications on employee and student engagement strategies.
  • Collect and analyze program data, prepare reports, and maintain program records.
  • Provide operational support for events, orientation, and recruitment activities.

  • Sit at a computer workstation for extended periods.
