Position Title: Associate Director of Academic Integration
Department: Division of Development & Alumni Relations, University of Georgia
Location: Athens, GA
Work Schedule: 8:00 am–5:00 pm; may be required to work evenings and weekends as needed
Salary: $73,341+ (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
Reporting to the Director of Academic Integration, the Associate Director collaborates with academic departments, faculty, and administrators to embed career readiness competencies into curriculum and experiential learning. The role partners with campus units such as the Office of Instruction, Student Affairs, and the Career Center to strengthen co‑curricular pathways, develop scalable programs, and provide training, resources, and mentorship to staff and faculty.
Responsibilities- Conduct benchmarking studies and analyze best practices in career integration.
- Lead large‑scale projects to embed career readiness into curriculum, advising, and student success initiatives.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful implementation.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams, including faculty, staff, and employer partners, to execute integration initiatives.
- Lead development, enrollment, evaluation, facilitation, and marketing of faculty‑led career programs.
- Provide consultation and support for faculty interested in aligning classroom content with employer needs and student career outcomes.
- Collaborate with Academic Advising Services, Student Affairs, and Experiential Learning to deliver a cohesive career ecosystem.
- Coordinate with the UGA Career Center’s Employer Relations staff to connect faculty and students to industry professionals, alumni, and career opportunities.
- Strengthen partnerships with offices focused on curriculum innovation, accreditation, and assessment.
- Assess effectiveness of initiatives through faculty feedback, student learning outcomes, and institutional metrics; report outcomes to stakeholders and refine strategies.
- Maintain current knowledge of best practices in curriculum design, career readiness, and workforce development.
- Provide dedicated partnership and support for the UGA Career Center to advance core operations and cultivate career opportunities for students.
- Participate in events, including orientations and open houses, to promote and represent the Career Center.
- Ensure compliance with credit, background, and safety requirements as outlined by university policy.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent with 5 years of professional experience.
- Master’s degree in higher education, student personnel administration, counseling, or a related field.
- Experience in career services, specifically providing comprehensive advising and career counseling focused on graduate students.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty and students.
- Knowledge of career needs, skills, and trends related to college students and the job market.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with faculty, administrators, and external partners.
- Experience with cross‑functional collaboration, change management, and organizing system‑wide resources to serve students.
- Strong verbal and written communication, including presentation skills.
- Project management and organizational planning.
- Program development and event coordination.
- Proficient computer skills, especially web‑based technologies and enterprise software systems.
- Data analysis for stakeholder reporting and strategy refinement.
- Standard office environment; occasional travel in and out of state.
- Extended periods of sitting and computer work; use of electronic communication.
- Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds and perform light physical tasks such as walking, standing, kneeling, and climbing stairs.
