Position Summary

Assist student-athletes in their academic endeavors by providing supplemental support. Academic mentors to meet with student-athletes weekly during regularly scheduled sessions to foster academic independence and encourage self-regulated learning. Pay is $15 per 1-hour mentor session.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized instruction in the areas of time management, organization, note‑taking, studying, and test‑taking strategies within the scope of UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations while maintaining a supportive environment (70%).
  • File reports on each session and communicate regularly and in a timely manner with Academic Counselors and Support Staff in accordance with departmental policies (25%).
  • Attend mandatory trainings and meetings (5%).
