Position Summary
Assist student-athletes in their academic endeavors by providing supplemental support. This part-time position requires academic mentors to meet with student-athletes weekly during regularly scheduled sessions to foster academic independence and encourage self-regulated learning. Pay is $15 per 1-hour mentor session.
Duties & Responsibilities- Provide individual and small group tutoring to student‑athletes in assigned subjects within the scope of UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations – 40% of time.
- Assist students in improving academic achievement in weekly meetings that clarify concepts, enhance study skills, and review class materials within the scope of UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations – 40% of time.
- File reports on sessions and follow all departmental policies – 10% of time.
- Attend mandatory trainings – 5% of time.
- Communicate with student’s other support staff team members – 5% of time.
- Driving as needed to perform job duties.
- Driving is a requirement of this position.
- Position is not a Position of Trust and has no control of financial resources.
- No direct interaction or care of children under 18 and no direct patient care.
- No security access.

Employment Type:
Employee, FLSA Non‑Exempt, 0.375 FTE.
