Salary: $57,000 base annually
The Senior Program Coordinator for Student Engagement independently manages the coordination and implementation of student-focused initiatives that promote engagement, academic success, leadership development, and community connection within the Office of Academic and Community Engagement. Reporting to the Associate Director of Community Engagement and Student Initiatives, this role designs, executes, and evaluates programs that foster student involvement and belonging.
Key Responsibilities- Program Coordination & Implementation (40%)
- Coordinate and manage the full lifecycle of student engagement programs, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Manage multiple programs simultaneously, ensuring alignment with departmental and institutional priorities.
- Oversee program logistics, scheduling, space reservations, communications, materials, and vendor coordination.
- Coordinate workshops, retreats, speaker series, service opportunities, and campus events.
- Maintain program timelines, registration processes, and participant tracking systems.
- Ensure high‑quality delivery of programs and a positive participant experience.
- Student Engagement & Support (30%)
- Serve as primary point of contact for student participants and student leaders involved in engagement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to student organizations and student leaders affiliated with the office.
- Facilitate workshops, trainings, and reflection activities that support student learning and leadership development.
- Maintain an active presence at student engagement opportunities such as orientation, recruitment, and major campus events.
- Support initiatives that promote student belonging, connection, and success.
- Campus Collaboration & Partnership Support (15%)
- Collaborate with campus departments, faculty, staff, and community partners to support student engagement initiatives.
- Assist in coordinating partnership‑based programs and community engagement opportunities.
- Support outreach and communication efforts to increase student participation and program visibility.
- Represent the office at meetings and events as appropriate.
- Assessment (10%)
- Collect, analyze, and maintain program participation and engagement data.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on assessment findings.
- Maintain program records, databases, and documentation.
- Support day‑to‑day administrative operations, including budget tracking and purchasing support.
- Develop and refine processes to improve program delivery and operational efficiency.
- Supervision and Other Duties (5%)
- Supervise a graduate assistant, including onboarding, training, task delegation, and performance feedback.
- Provide day‑to‑day guidance and work direction to student staff, volunteers, or program participants as applicable.
- Support office‑wide programs, events, and initiatives as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and five years of professional experience.
