The Assistant Director of Alumni Relations is responsible for managing the Office of Alumni Relation's young alumni engagement efforts, oversees the Young Alumni Council, and partners with the Division of Development & Alumni Relations (DAR) and campus colleagues to increase young alumni philanthropic engagement. The Assistant Director:
- leads the marketing effort in collaboration with university departments to develop a multifaceted and representative ambassador group and strengthen the pipeline for young alumni giving
- implements and executes plans to engage targeted alumni groups at the university to increase young alumni engagement through strategic outreach in partnership with councils and affinity groups
- works collaboratively with the DAR Annual Giving and Development teams, and the Donor Engagement and Stewardship team, to steward and retain young alumni donors, mobilizing the Young Alumni Council to strategically enhance fundraising and stewardship efforts, along with supporting the successful alignment of the strategies, programs, and management of alumni volunteer group within the office of alumni relations

Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications- Sales and marketing experience.
- Experience working in fundraising and nonprofit setting.
- Familiarity with the university setting.
- Ability to establish the trust of colleagues and build strong relationships with key faculty/staff.
- Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to university business and confidential donor and prospect information.
- Exhibits behavior that supports the mission, vision, and values of the University of Georgia.
