Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience
Position SummaryThe E-resources Accounting Specialist assists with the acquisition, administration, and maintenance of the Libraries' electronic and continuing resources, the continuity of access and discoverability of the Libraries' licensed and open access resources, as well as invoice processing, maintenance of statistics, account reconciliation, and works with various platforms to track financial data that informs collection management decisions. This position is a member of the Collections department, reporting to the Assistant Director of Collections for Acquisitions and Licensing and working at the direction of the Library Collections Professional and the Electronic and Continuing Resources Librarian.
Knowledge,Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
- Understanding of basic financial analysis and accounting practices, including forecasting, modeling, invoice processing, and payment workflows
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- Advanced organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to perform clerical tasks accurately with close attention to detail and timeliness
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot clerical and workflow-related problems effectively
- Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships, working both collaboratively and independently to accomplish goals
- Working knowledge of library service platforms, e-resource access and discovery systems, and related technical services tools
- Familiarity with electronic resource management issues and trends in acquisitions and collections
- Ability to extract, manipulate, and visualize data for reporting purposes
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing organizational priorities
- Initiative in formulating creative solutions to workflow challenges
