Position Summary

POSITION IS ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FACULTY MEMBERS IN THE COLLEGE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA.

The Senior Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives and Faculty Success reports directly to the Dean and oversees the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, such as our Rural Healthcare, Clinician Retention Initiatives, and building projects. The Senior Associate Dean works with the College leadership andstaff to promote the College and serve as a liaison to various

College stakeholders, including alumni, donors, the legislature, and College Advisory Board. In addition, this individual will provide leadership and oversight on issues and initiatives relatedto Faculty Affairs, including hiring; career development (e.g., onboarding, advancement, promotion, and/or tenure); conflict management; and other faculty-centered issues.
