The Department of Entomology includes 39 faculty, 60 graduate students, 27 undergraduate entomology majors, and 101 undergraduate applied biotechnology majors, with diverse interests from very applied to fundamental studies. The three campuses of the University of Georgia (Athens, Griffin, and Tifton) are multidisciplinary, multi-agency facilities with access to well-equipped research farms throughout the state.

Position Summary: The Department of Entomology at the University of Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track position (9-months) in insect ecology, to be based on the Athens campus at the Assistant Professor rank. The position includes research (70%), teaching (25%) and service (5%). The appointee will be expected to build a nationally prominent, extramurally-funded research program that complements existing strengths in the Entomology Department, as well as contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring.
