This position is a unique opportunity to lead the development of a new class of telecommunication satellites.
- Six or more years of experience in satellite ground systems, spacecraft operations, or equivalent complex space programs and systems engineering. Understanding of principles for spacecraft-ground interfaces, operational concepts, and mission execution.
- Demonstrated technical expertise and application of engineering principles, system architecture, and operational workflows, combined with strong project management and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordination to meet established milestones.
- Ability to resolve complex technical and operational challenges and manage multi-disciplinary activities across engineering and software domains.
- Experience managing customer/operator and supplier interfaces, ensuring contractual compliance and fostering strong relationships.
- Customer-focused, able to work autonomously and proactively with leadership, while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, ethics, and ability to prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working across different professional and cultural backgrounds, including geographically distributed teams.
- Ability to “think outside the box” and operate effectively in an ambiguous trade-space.
- Proven ability to produce clear, high-quality technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools and methodologies.
- Language:
Fluent English is required;
French is a plus. - Education:
Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Act as Technical Project Manager for all Ground Operations activities supporting the Humming Sat programs and future missions.
- Lead all phases of ground operations projects – from initiation through delivery – ensuring alignment with program objectives and customer requirements.
- Work in close cooperation with customers to ensure contractual compliance and a shared understanding of operational execution.
- Serve as a customer point of contact for ground operations activities, including feedback, interactions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and lead strategic partners and major suppliers, including technical reviews and deliverable tracking.
- Maintain and track ground operations requirements, including configuration control and change management processes.
- Apply project management and engineering practices across ground systems design, integration, testing, and operational readiness.
- Perform risk and opportunity management, providing leadership and direction to the continual risk mitigation process.
- Ensure schedule adherence and quality delivery for all ground operations deliverables.
- Travel as needed to customer sites, suppliers, and company offices.
- Occasionally participate in company-wide initiatives and tasks inherent to a dynamic, fast-growing organization.
