Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience or familiarity with Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) software. FMD uses Assetworks AIM.
- Advanced level experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and ArcGIS software.
- Ability to write SQL and/or Python code is desirable.
- Ability to read construction drawings and construction closeout documents are desired.
- Knowledge of buildings and building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection) is desirable.
- Working knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and related information modeling, digital twins, and management of models.
This is an advanced level position within the Facility Inventory Team, part of the Engineering Department. Responsibilities include collecting, maintaining, analyzing, documenting, and distributing data related to buildings and facilities; coordinating with constituents to collect, organize, and maintain construction documents in Digital Archives; CAD, GIS, and data management work; transitioning from 2D AutoCAD drawings to 3D Revit Models; and coordinating BIM implementation.
- Update/create building floor plans using AutoCAD and Revit; convert floor plans to interactive PDFs; update occupancy and program classification using FICM standards; review project floor plans and assign room numbers per UGA standards.
- Maintain the virtual plans room: organize, name, convert files to PDF, and file all design documents. Log submittals in Excel and create dashboards. Collaborate with FMD IT to crosswalk building assets with Record Documents.
