Prototyping & Hardware Design and Assembly for Robotic Vehicle (Student Role)

About Gen Auto AI

Gen Auto AI (GA) is a pioneering startup at the forefront of building tools that enhance the efficiency of verification and validation for autonomous robotic systems. Our mission is to accelerate safe autonomy by integrating cutting‑edge general artificial intelligence into robotic platforms, including delivery robots and autonomous vehicles. As one of the first companies in the region to tackle these challenges head‑on, we are shaping the future of autonomy with speed, precision, and purpose.

We’re looking for driven, creative students to join our growing team and help build transformative technologies from the ground up.

What You’ll Do
  • Designing mechanical components and assemblies using CAD and CAM such as Solid Works or CATIA
  • Building and testing hardware through 3D printing, machining, and CNC processes
  • Prototyping custom parts for housings, mounts, enclosures, and robotic assemblies
  • Integrating electric motors and designing power transmission systems (gears, pulleys, belts, etc.)
  • Assembling prototypes and refining designs based on field testing
  • Collaborating closely with the electrical and programming teams to ensure cross‑system compatibility
We’re Looking For Someone Who
  • Is a student in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Has experience with CAD/CAM software (
    Solid Works, CATIA
    ) and prototyping workflows
  • Loves building — from napkin sketches to real, testable hardware
  • Is familiar with integrating motors and actuators into mechanical systems
  • Understands or is excited to learn about power transmission design
  • Enjoys collaborating in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment
Bonus Points For
  • Experience with CNC, laser cutting, or manual machining
  • Hands‑on work with robotic arms, mobile platforms, or mechanical linkages
  • Familiarity with assembly best practices and safety standards
  • A hacker/maker mindset — fast iterations, creative solutions, and resourcefulness
