Kellum Engineering is a growing engineering firm providing Civil design services in the greater Charleston area, with occasional projects extending throughout South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. We have an opening for a motivated, self-driven engineer.

In the role of Staff Engineer, you will work under the guidance of senior engineers to perform site civil design, permitting, construction administration and closeouts for residential, commercial and industrial land development projects.

You will be expected to:

• Prepare site improvement construction drawings and permit application packages for site layout, grading, water, sewer and storm drainage infrastructure
• Assist with design calculations, specifications and report preparation
• Perform onsite inspections, as needed
• Perform tasks on schedule and within budget
• Perform other duties as needed

• BS degree in Civil Engineering from accredited school or university
• EIT certification. Degreed applicants who do not EIT certification may be considered for a designer/coordinator role within the firm.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must have valid drivers license
