Description
This position is in the AMMM Systems Engineering Organization, Configuration Management. The primary role involves representing C-130 Configuration Management on the flight line to support Configuration Status Accounting. The candidate will collaborate with representatives from engineering, quality, flight‑line production, and manufacturing to maintain accurate configuration management records for the C-130J program. In addition, the role supports the Electronic Change Request System (ECRS), Change Management, and CSA tools by ensuring processes are understood and followed, maintaining closed‑loop records, and maintaining configuration status accounting records.
Knowledge of the Enterprise Data Collaborative System (EDCS) and experience with data management submittals is a plus. Occasional weekend work may be required.
- Represent C‑130 Configuration Management on the flight line to support Configuration Status Accounting.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, flight‑line production, and manufacturing to maintain accurate configuration records.
- Support the Electronic Change Request System (ECRS) and Change Management processes, ensuring compliance and closed‑loop records.
- Maintain configuration status accounting and CSA tool data for the C‑130J program.
- Utilize the Enterprise Data Collaborative System (EDCS) for data management and customer submittals (preferred).

You are a detail‑oriented, collaborative professional with experience in aircraft configuration management, change control, and data stewardship. You thrive in cross‑functional environments, communicate clearly with engineers, quality specialists, and production staff, and can adapt to occasional weekend work to meet program needs.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Active Secret clearance required; U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience with U.S. Government and/or Foreign Military Customer Operational Sites.
- C‑130J or cargo aircraft maintenance experience.
- Flight line experience.
- Experience with Configuration Status Accounting processes and tools.
- Experience with quality and/or manufacturing systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience developing process improvements and communicating with other departments for problem resolution.
- Comfortable with teamwork and collaboration.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer software tools.
- A‑P license.
- Quality and/or inspection experience.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Can lift 30 lbs above head (e.g., opening side doors, lifting DTADS into overhead compartment).
- Can work in small confined spaces.
- Will be required to operate an electric lift.
Requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance at the start of employment.
