** Process Quality Engineer
** to support our manufacturing facility in
** Athens, GA** .
This role is a hands-on, plant-based position responsible for improving product and process quality, driving operational excellence, and supporting production teams. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Service teams to reduce defects, improve yield, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
** Key Responsibilities*
* + Drive scrap reduction and improve first-pass yield (FPY) across manufacturing processes
+ Support daily production activities, including defect resolution and non-conforming material management
+ Perform Gemba walks and partner with production teams to review quality metrics and resolve issues in real time
+ Lead andparticipatein cross-functional improvement projects focused on process reliability and product quality
+ Investigate and resolve customer claims and field issues, ensuring feedback is integrated into manufacturing processes
+ Conduct process audits and internal ISO audits to ensure compliance with quality standards
+ Utilize tools such as PFMEA, control plans, and quality systems toidentifyand mitigate risk
+ Analyze production and quality data toidentifytrends and drive continuous improvement initiatives
+ Partner with Supplier Quality, Engineering, and Operations to address root cause and corrective actions
+ Support monthly reporting and quality performance tracking
** Basic Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree in Engineering
+ Minimum 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial operations environment with exposure to quality systems, process improvement, and root cause analysis
** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Experience working in a production or plant setting
+ Ability to analyze and solve quality or process-related issues
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills across multiple teams
+ Experience in automotive or heavy industrial manufacturing environments
+ Background in quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or industrial engineering
+
Experience with data analytics, data systems, or process automation
+ Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., PFMEA, PPAP, root cause analysis)
+ ASQ Certification (CQE, CQA) or ISO auditing experience
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
** Additional Information*
* + This is a fully onsite role based in a manufacturing plant environment in Athens, GA
+ The role requiressignificant timeon the production floor working alongside operations teams
+ Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsorship is available
** Pay Range*
* The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $ annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
** Other Compensation*
* This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
