PART TIME TEMP ENGINEERING CO-OP

UTILITIES—ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT

Job Title: Part time Engineering Co-op

Pay rate : $21.00 per hour

Classification: Part-time, Temp

Hours and days per week may vary. Part-time temporary only.

Job duties will include but are not limited to: familiarization with the function and operation of equipment used in electrical distribution system; perform computerized system modeling using Mil Soft software including modifying databases as needed, load flow analysis, short circuit studies, overcurrent device coordination, and arc flash hazard analysis; use of SCADA system for programming and operation, power factor correction, voltage reduction control and one-line diagrams;

use communication systems such as 900 Mhz radio and fiber optics.

Qualifications include but not limited to:

• 18 years or older
• Valid Driver’s license
• High School diploma or GED
• College Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree or related field; 3.0 GPA preferred
• Computer literate:
  Microsoft software, AutoCAD, telephone, and e-mail; ability to work outdoors; must be self-motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills, strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to perform all essential functions with or without accommodation.
