Position
Manufacturing Engineering Manager Intern
Reports ToManufacturing Engineering Manager
LocationOnsite/hybrid in Athens, GA. Candidates must reside within a 50‑mile radius of the office. No relocation assistance will be offered. Candidates are expected to manage their own commuting arrangements.
Responsibilities- Collaborating with various teams to support ABB’s operations, ensuring effective coordination and timely project completion within defined timelines.
- Leveraging insights about customer needs and ABB’s offerings to identify suitable solutions for clients, leading to project results that meet customer expectations.
- Participating in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative efforts.
- Seeking feedback and guidance from manager and team members to improve performance and skills.
- Plans and performs routine and complex assignments related to the manufacturing of mechanical or electrical components used to manufacture electric motors.
- Prepares, releases, and maintains general and special operator instructions related to equipment, processes, and methods affecting manufacturing in the areas assigned.
- Maintains the in‑house order routing system.
- Assists Manufacturing Engineering Technicians or Manufacturing Engineers on projects as assigned.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering in the United States.
- Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
- Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Exhibit the capability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
This position is expected to pay between $20 and $34 per hour, depending on qualifications, graduation year, and experience.
