General Assembly Vehicle Engineering Specialist-Bilingual (English/Korean)

JOB TITLEGeneral Assembly Vehicle Engineering Associate/Specialist
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Serve as technical expert of assigned area during vehicle launches.
- Coordinate and lead project activities, including new equipment installation, supplier selection, and implementation phases.
- Prepare spec package after reviewing requirements (Quality, Safety, UPH, Layout, Ergonomics, etc.).
- Communicate with Advanced Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering Team in Korea and other relevant R&D teams in Korea/USA for successful launch.
- Host video conferences for new vehicle design improvement and status follow‑up meetings.
- Prepare Assembly Process Sheets considering method and line condition with detailed picture and text.
- Explain work content through drawings of worker positions according to work order and status.
- Check workability and quality for vehicle assembly.
- Check vehicle drawings (tightening hardware, torque, vehicle dimensions, etc.) and design work process as the assembly sequence.
- Determine man‑hour based on MODAPTS, optimize allocation, and continuously improve performance in safety, quality, production, cost, and human factors.
- Participate in Cross‑Functional Teams (CFT) and other problem‑solving teams, as directed by senior management.
- Serve as technical expert for team members and leaders, including technical training as required.
- Support daily production issues as required.
- Review technical developments in area of responsibility and propose new technology projects as appropriate.
- Prepare presentations/reports on current projects, progress, and issues for management.
- Understand and control labor allocation.
- Meet all other requirements as assigned.
- Perform multi‑tasks with multiple priorities within a designated time frame.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TOTHE ROLE
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
- No disqualification for overseas travel or stay.
- Skills/Knowledge: MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint.
- Preferred Skills/Knowledge: CATIA, CAD or similar programs.
- Good communication skills and excellent leadership skills.
- Domestic / International travel required.

Language Proficiency: Strong command of the English language (written and spoken) is essential for safety, communication, documentation, and collaboration across the organization.
Physical DemandsWhile in Office: This position is primarily sedentary and requires working at a desk and computer for extended periods. Responsibilities may include:
- Occasional lifting of office supplies (up to 15 pounds).
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and handling documents.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk within the office environment as needed.
When in Production Area (if applicable):
- Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended durations.
- Repeated lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and products (up to 25–30 pounds).
- Manual dexterity for handling power tools, machinery, or production equipment.
- Working in environments that may be noisy, hot, or require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to climb ladders or stairs and operate equipment safely and effectively.
- Capability to learn and work on multiple production processes, as required.
- Adequate visual and auditory abilities to identify safety hazards and communicate clearly.
- Consistent and punctual attendance.
- Ability to collaborate and perform effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
