Simulation Engineer plays a critical role in designing, analyzing, and validating automated warehouse and material handling solutions for Hai Robotics customers. This position is responsible for developing simulation and emulation models that evaluate system performance, optimize operational efficiency, and support both pre-sales and project delivery activities.

The role will provide technical support in simulation and emulation for global solution design teams. Partner with overseas colleagues to validate system performance, optimize warehouse layouts, and support the development of innovative robotic automation solutions for customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain discrete-event simulation and emulation models to evaluate the performance, throughput, capacity, and operational efficiency of automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), autonomous case-handling robots (ACRs), and other material handling systems.
  • Support pre-sales, solution design, and project delivery activities by creating low-, medium-, and high-fidelity simulation models that validate proposed customer solutions.
  • Partner with global Solution Engineering teams to understand simulation and emulation requirements and provide data-driven recommendations for system and layout optimization.
  • Analyze customer operational data, business requirements, and workflow processes to develop accurate simulation models and performance forecasts.
  • Configure, execute, and analyze simulation scenarios, sensitivity studies, statistical experiments, and performance evaluations.
  • Interpret simulation results and provide actionable recommendations to improve system design, throughput, storage density, labor utilization, and overall operational performance.
  • Create technical reports, presentations, and customer-facing materials that clearly communicate simulation methodologies, assumptions, findings, and recommendations.
  • Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and solution validation discussions to support business development and project execution.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Engineering, Product Management, Project Management, and Delivery teams to validate equipment specifications, system configurations, and operational strategies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing simulation standards, modeling methodologies, tools, templates, and best practices.
  • Deliver assigned tasks on schedule while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling customer, proprietary, and business-sensitive information.
