Scope of Position

The Table Games Shift Supervisor is under the general supervision of the Table Games Manager and is responsible for the day‑to‑day operation and conduct of card games offered in the casino. The supervisor’s performance is essential for the casino to reach its full potential in providing a superior entertainment experience for guests.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in scheduling dealers and supervisors, and train and evaluate new dealers.
  • Maintain constant awareness of all card game activities and protect the bankroll, the playing public, and casino integrity.
  • Monitor compliance and prepare documents related to federal currency transaction regulations.
  • Train employees; plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Requirements
  • Observe employee performance and ensure adherence to casino policies and procedures.
  • Handle problems or grievances (employees or guests) promptly within the department.
  • Train, plan, assign and direct work.
  • Foster and maintain a positive attitude toward team members and guests.
Physical & Environmental Demands

The supervisor will regularly communicate and exchange information with coworkers and guests, operate a computer and other office equipment, and remain stationary for at least 50% of the shift. Work occurs in all areas of the facility where lights may flash and noise levels vary from quiet to loud. The supervisor must work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a smoke‑filled environment and under constant surveillance.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (home school certificate).
  • One or more years of table games experience.
  • One or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Prior working experience in a casino environment is preferable.
