Security Officer
Position Summary
Enforcement of parking regulations and operational policies in campus lots and structures. Strong, professional customer service.
Responsibilities- Issuing citations (40%)
- Towing/Booting for parking violations (40%)
- Preparing daily reports (20%)
- Providing information to faculty, staff, employees, students, and visitors about parking complaints, suggestions, concerns, directions, policies, or other campus‑related issues (20%)
- Directing traffic in and around parking structures to ensure safe and orderly ingress and egress (20%)
- Providing reserved accommodations for special events, special guests, or scheduled football games or other athletic events (20%)
- Providing backup and support for co‑workers during special events, employee absences, or any circumstances requiring orderly function of the facility or department (20%)
- Performing periodic assistance in cleaning surface lots and associated vehicles and equipment during slow periods (20%)
- Patrolling all levels of the facility or all parking lot areas for unauthorized parkers, litter patrol, suspicious persons, or illegal activities (20%)

RelevantEducation and Experience
No prior experience necessary. All qualified applicants must have a valid driver’s license.
