Overview
State Botanical Garden of Georgia Major Events Intern — Part-time student position under the Major Events Manager at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia, University of Georgia. This role supports planning and executing large-scale events, providing hands-on experience in event coordination, logistics, vendor communication, and on-site operations.
Responsibilities- Attend events and provide on-site operational support with guest registration, setup and breakdown.
Percentage of time: 35 - Assist with attendee communication and customer service for major events and other events as directed by Major Events Manager.
Percentage of time: 20 - Prepare event materials such as agendas, name badges, floor plans, presentations, etc.
Percentage of time: 20 - Help manage event timelines and checklists.
Percentage of time: 15 - Other duties as assigned by Major Events Manager.

Education, Experience, Licensure, CertificationApplicants that would be mutually beneficial for the position would be currently pursuing a degree in event management, hospitality, or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesA qualified candidate is proactive, professional, with strong organizational and communication skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to work some weekends and nights is desired.
