Position Summary
As part of the UGA Foundation’s Financial Accounting and Reporting team, this Financial Analyst II is responsible for financial reporting on subsets of data to enhance management’s oversight of financial information. The role works with the UGA Foundation operating budget, including periodic reporting, projections, budget development, and financial analysis. Key responsibilities also include interim assurance and reconciliation reports, assisting the Associate Director with property management and financial analysis, and supporting the trust and treasury functions of the Foundation.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications- 2 or more years of professional accounting experience, preferably in higher education, not-for-profit or foundation environments.
- Experience creating, editing, and using Pivot Tables and formulas in Excel.
- Experience creating financial reports and providing analysis on trends and variances.
- Experience navigating and reporting on large data sets.
- Experience working with data analytical tools for presenting financial data.
- Experience working with an ERP accounting system.

- Budget and Unrestricted Resources:
Create and update internal metrics, analytics, and projections; collaborate on annual budget development; serve as lead gatekeeper of unrestricted financial data; maintain campus reports; record accounting entries in the ERP; budget processing through the University’s financial system. - Financial & Monthly Reporting:
Develop and coordinate financial initiatives; develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards using Excel and Qlik; report and reconcile unrestricted reserves; provide support for audit and tax reporting; complete year-end activities; serve as backup for financial accounting. - Property Operations – Delta Hall and Oxford:
Monitor contracts and expenditures; direct expense processing; track maintenance schedules and recommend replacements; collaborate on vendor selection and contracts; support contracts and payments per state and Foundation guidelines; create and provide monthly reports, analysis, and projections for Washington D.C. and Oxford properties; assist in operations and administration of Foundation-owned properties. - Operations, Asset Management & Insurance:
Monitor property taxes and insurance payments; direct payments and reporting for long-term debt on real property; support insurance activities and updates; process premium invoices; analyze annual insurance reports; maintain fixed asset schedules; report and account for all Foundation real assets within the asset module; support campus partners and contract processing for endorsements.
