Position Title
Auxiliary Accounting Student Analyst
DepartmentAuxiliary Finance

Responsibilities- General ledger reviews for various accounts (e.g., depreciation expense, salaries/fringe benefit expense, FMD charges including Utilities and other Direct Charges) – 30% of time.
- Assist and maintain monthly financial analysis review, including fluctuations (actuals vs. budgets and current year actuals vs. prior year actuals) – 30% of time.
- Perform reconciliations for accounts such as Prepaids, Inventory, Unearned revenue and assist with journal entry initiation for month‑end and fiscal year‑end activities, including adjusting, correcting, reclassifications – 20% of time.
- Validate and verify monthly financial statements (progress reports) and other financial reports – 15% of time.
- Conduct and document camera/cash audits as assigned – 5% of time.
- Current student in the Tull School MAcc graduate program.
- Background in Accounting/Finance or related business field.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze financial information.
Sitting for long periods using a computer.
Other Information- Classification:
Student Assistant (Non‑Exempt, FTE 0.47). - Working hours:
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with flexibility for class schedule. - Security access required. No P‑Card necessary.
- Background investigation and pre‑employment drug test may be required.
