Responsible for: providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
QualificationsMinimum Education Required
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required.
- In lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience is required.
- No experience is required with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program.
- In lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience is required.
Licensure/Certification Required by Law
None.
Additional Qualifications- BLS required.
- Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization required.
