Director Accreditation; Joint

Overview

A well-established, not-for-profit, Magnet designated healthcare system in the Southeast US Region is seeking an experienced Director of Accreditation to lead Joint Commission readiness and regulatory compliance across multiple hospitals and outpatient locations. This is a highly visible leadership role reporting to executive leadership with organization-wide impact.

The Director of Accreditation will oversee continuous survey readiness, coordinate mock surveys and tracers, guide leaders on regulatory standards, and serve as the organization’s subject-matter expert for accreditation compliance. This role partners closely with clinical, operational, and executive teams to ensure systemwide alignment and readiness.

• Current Joint Commission experience (required)
• 5+ years in accreditation, regulatory, or healthcare quality leadership
• Experience in acute care hospital / multi-site healthcare settings
• Master’s degree required
• RN strongly preferred
• Proven ability to influence leaders and drive compliance across departments

• System-level scope across multiple facilities
• Direct interaction with a well-tenured executive leadership team
• Established infrastructure and proactive compliance culture
