Certified Pharmacy Tech - Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers Infusion Pharmacy

A third level position in the pharmacy department, this employee will assist pharmacists and the pharmacy department team with providing medication services and pharmaceutical care to patients and customers.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

Three years of related experience. Requires broad knowledge of complex systems and procedures.

• CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
• GEORGIA REGISTERED PHARMACY TECH

• Ability to pass a basic written competency examination. Must have a solid, working knowledge of medications: brand and generic names, dosage forms, common dosages, and common uses.
• Ability to interact and work well as part of a team oriented environment.
• Ability to work well in high volume, high stress situations.
• Adapts positively to changes in workload and or work schedule.
• Must exhibit leadership skills of being a good listener, being a good communicator, have the ability to make sound decisions, and being a good problem solver.
• Desire to learn and excel through technician leveling program.
• Must exhibit a warm, friendly, and caring professional demeanor.
• Must have completed the educational requirements and received certification to administer immunizations in the State of Georgia.
• Three Years of related experience in a healthcare facility or six years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
