Employees in this classification apply, communicate and promote human resources procedural best practices to support the university in achieving goals and objectives. They participate in one or more HR functional areas such as benefits administration; career planning; classification; compensation; employee retention and organizational culture enhancement; employee relations; employment; HR information systems; payroll; policy administration; organizational design; staff development; talent management; workforce planning;
and related programs.
Responsibilities include providing information, advice or guidance to managers, supervisors, staff, and faculty; staying current on HR issues; identifying concerns; and recommending or implementing solutions. This is a highly responsible role that collaborates with team members to deliver efficient HR services to the University community. The position involves interpreting policies, procedures, laws, and regulations for departments university-wide.
