Financial Systems Manager

Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for the role, Financial Systems Manager.

The Financial Systems Manager will serve as the operational owner of Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) while leading the strategic evaluation and transition to a modern ERP platform over the next 18–24 months.

This role will act as the central bridge between Finance, IT, and external partners to stabilize the current environment, streamline system processes, and ultimately lead the selection and implementation of a new ERP system (likely Dynamics 365, Net Suite, or Oracle).

This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity ideal for a technically strong ERP professional with deep Dynamics GP expertise who is excited to lead a full ERP transformation within a private equity‑backed, acquisition‑driven environment.

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Dynamics GP environments (Production, Test, Development)
• Manage user security, roles, and permissions
• Serve as primary point of contact for GP‑related system issues, data integrity concerns, and integration troubleshooting
• Ensure reliability and performance of financial modules including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and Inventory
• Evaluate and improve current GP configurations and workflows
• Reduce reliance on manual fixes and fragmented processes across 12+ interconnected systems
• Partner with Finance to streamline month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
• Document system configurations, procedures, and process improvements

• Support and maintain integrations between GP and third‑party systems
• Administer GP tools and extensions (Smart List Builder, Smart Connect, SSRS, Extender, modified forms/reports)
• Provide SQL‑based reporting support, data extracts, and troubleshooting
• Monitor backups, restores, and data recovery processes
• Lead evaluation and selection process for future ERP platform
• Partner cross‑functionally to gather requirements and define future‑state system architecture
• Oversee implementation planning, data migration, testing, and change management
• Support hiring and development of additional financial systems talent as needed
• Serve as internal systems champion during transition and post‑go‑live stabilization

• Act as a bridge between Finance and IT to ensure technical and accounting alignment
• Provide proactive recommendations for system and process improvements
• Support executive stakeholders with reporting enhancements and modernization initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
• 3–5+ years of hands‑on Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) administration experience
• Strong understanding of core financial modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Inventory)
• Working knowledge of SQL Server (queries and troubleshooting)
• Experience supporting ERP integrations and reporting environments
• Demonstrated ability to lead or materially support ERP implementations or major upgrades
• Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
