Position Summary

This position is integral to the Business Process Analysis, Workflow Solutions, and Business Intelligence services (Application Services) offered within the Terry College, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of Applications Services as a member of the Applications Team. It involves a high level of customer focus and technical knowledge related to Application Services delivery across a variety of platforms including web and cloud-based applications.

The role requires identifying and separating business needs from technical requirements, gathering requirements, analyzing data, and providing business intelligence solutions such as databases, queries, analytical solutions, and reports. The individual performs complex application configurations, code and workflow changes, and data processing tasks to support existing solutions or create new solutions if needed. This is a security-sensitive position with access to and responsibility for protecting FERPA and other sensitive or confidential data sets.

The successful candidate will be eager to learn new technologies and develop new skills on an ongoing basis.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience

Responsibilities
  • Independently gather client requirements, perform business process analysis, and design & implement solutions using a variety of tools.
  • Build and maintain MS SQL Server Reporting, Analysis & Integration Services and other reporting, analytics and data integration solutions.
  • Create and maintain Microsoft SharePoint Info Path or Google Forms and workflow solutions portals for requested client solutions.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM for recruiting, events, tracking, surveys, registration, outreach and other requested processes for Terry College and its associated programs.
  • Develop and code functions not available from baseline software, including complex coding, workflow creations, and API integrations as required.
  • Build reports for clients upon request to provide detailed information on their events or other programs.
  • Build and maintain documentation on newly created code.
  • Review any email deliverables or front-facing public solutions to ensure data integrity and adherence to UGA or Terry College guidelines.
  • When an application or software is no longer supported or no longer meets client needs, review and formalize replacement options.
  • Ensure security and data protection is maintained and being followed.
  • Ensure all software, databases, and applications meet the requirements of requested solutions.
  • Provide user support and problem resolution for applications.
  • Create training materials and resources for end-user training and support.
  • Train team members on newly created code and processes.
  • Stay current on the latest trends of applications and software used by the team.
  • Review documentation to ensure data accuracy and update as needed.
  • Explore AI usage and prototyping/upgrading solutions to new platforms or versions.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.
