IT Technician II; Onsite- Athens, GA

This is an on‑site role based out of Athens, GA.

As an IT Technician II, you will provide advanced technical support to end‑users, resolve complex issues escalated from other IT teams, and collaborate on project management, systems monitoring, security incident response, and user provisioning. This role offers exposure to various IT functions and opportunities to develop new skills.

• Respond to incidents and requests for end‑user support, covering workstation hardware, software, servers, and network issues.
• Provide support for on‑site and remote users.
• Document, track, and monitor incidents in detail with follow‑up within the Meissner ITSM platform.
• Ensure ticket service levels are met through follow‑up.
• Follow escalation procedures to include other departments as needed.
• Maintain system images and assist with new IT hardware deployment.
• Maintain Cisco Telephony systems—troubleshoot and provision users.
• Support VPN client technology/connection.
• Address other technical support needs as required (e.g., mobile devices, tablets, apps).

• Establish maintenance schedules of IT assets in the maintenance software.
• Organize and assist Zebra label printer maintenance.
• Determine computer spare parts and hardware inventory levels.
• Perform software updates, virus, and malware cleanup.
• Set up and maintain special workstation image backups.
• Monitor server rooms and related equipment for health and environmental conditions.
• Perform off‑hours maintenance and upgrades.

• Perform hardware and software upgrades.
• Assist with network and telephony system upgrades.
• Maintain and create IT documentation.
• Assist in IT infrastructure upgrades.
• Support IT Developers with project needs and deployments.

• High school diploma with 2–3 years of similar experience.
• CompTIA or relevant certification preferred.
• Fluent with MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and working knowledge of operating systems.
• Understanding of Microsoft Office and Office 365.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows client and server operating systems (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of printing technologies and connectivity.
• Understanding of virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V), thin clients, and RDP.
• Networking technologies (TCP/IP, cabling).

US BASE PAY SCALE $22.32 to 27.45/hr

The base pay scale for this role is what Meissner reasonably expects to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicant's experience.
