unops has partnered with ungsc to provide support services covered in this tor. This is a position in unops for supporting projects carried out for the united nations secretariat. The incumbent of this position will be a staff member of unops under its full responsibility.

under the overall supervision of the unops programme manager, with the guidance and under the supervision of the ict senior advisor – ict infrastructure, the incumbent will perform the job functions highlighted in this tor.

• technology management
  • ensure adherence to itil framework and coordinate the design, implementation and lifecycle management of ict infrastructure.
  • maintain system documentation, configuration management and ensure scalability, resilience and high availability of systems.
  • participate in the development of technical specifications and evaluation of proposals in coordination with the partner.
  • serve as a liaison between ict teams, business units and external partners; facilitate service‑management meetings, service review meetings and reporting.

  • coordinate implementation of cybersecurity controls and compliance with organizational standards.
  • coordinate audits, vulnerability management and risk mitigation activities.
  • coordinate development, maintenance and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans; conduct dr exercises and ensure operational readiness of critical systems.
  • lead or coordinate ict projects, including infrastructure deployments, migrations and upgrades.
  • coordinate ict service delivery in line with agreed slas, sdas and kpis; oversee incident, problems and change management processes to ensure service stability and continuous improvement.
• knowledge management
  • assist in preparing and managing budgeting activities, monitoring expenditures and ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
  • support procurement planning and vendor selection initiatives; assist in managing cost recovery mechanisms for ict services provided to internal and external clients.
  • manage relationships with vendors and service providers, oversee contract performance and compliance with slas.

• master’s degree or equivalent, preferably in information systems, computer science or a related electro‑communications field, with 5 years of relevant experience.
• or bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in information systems, computer science or a related electro‑communications field, with 7 years of relevant experience.

• certification in itil foundation.

• experience in planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance of enterprise resource planning systems, including service delivery management for mission‑critical applications and designing and implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions for complex systems.

• experience dealing with organizations with global technology infrastructure.
