Job Summary
Analysts in this role are responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying Epic app and related information technologies. In addition, they are responsible for the establishment, development, and promotion of standard architectures, as well as hardware and software.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in an Information Systems / Clinical Informatics related field or 4 years of related IT experience in a healthcare environment.
- Credentials in clinical practice or health information technologies are required.
- Epic Certification is preferred (may hire without certification, but must attain certification within first 45 days of HHCS-sponsored Epic training to continue employment).
- Two (2+) years within information technology.
- Minimum of one (1+) year of Hospital/Health Care organizational experience.
- Complete Epic HIM application system knowledge; analysis and troubleshooting of Epic HIM applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and report status to management.
- Strong communication, collaboration, customer service, and problem‑solving skills.
- Develop, test, maintain, install, and deploy Epic app and related information technologies.
- Establish, develop, and promote standard architectures, hardware, and software.
- Manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and adjust for roadblocks; report status to management on a regular basis.
- Participate in education/training of other team members and internal initiatives to improve processes and communications.
- Analyze and troubleshoot Epic HIM applications; provide technical support, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Work with clinicians to improve efficiency, workflow, and patient care through effective use of clinical application systems.
- Serve as liaison and resource for physicians and clinical staff; address break‑fix issues and new functionality requests.
- Collaborate with Risk Management, Quality Assurance, and other departments to manage informatics issues and ensure compliance.
- Utilize analytics systems (e.g., Caboodle) to produce useful data and support decision making.
- Participate in change management, system risk assessments, and disaster recovery planning.
- Maintain competencies through licensure, certification, and continuous learning.
- Provide high‑level customer service and support for Epic HIM, Identity, ROI, and related applications.
- Maintain professional growth and contribute to the organization’s culture and values.
