Transport passengers with registered disabilities in an accessible van to and from various campus locations in accordance with applicable laws and department procedures. Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle as necessary. Inspect vehicle before, during, and after shift to ensure vehicle is in proper operating condition. Complete necessary paperwork, including time sheets and vehicle condition reports. Operates other vehicle equipment such as electronic AVL equipment and wheelchair ramps.
Duties/Responsibilities- Safe operation of ADA vans according to predetermined schedule and completing the associated paperwork. (Percentage Of Time: 95%)
- Occasional non-driving duties such as vehicle washing and attending safety meetings. (Percentage Of Time: 5%)
- Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification In Position: Valid Drivers License

Competencies:
Good communication skills and an ability to work effectively with people of various backgrounds, physical, emotional, and developmental disabilities, and skill levels. Ability to work with a tablet, handheld radio, and learn to operate company software. - Physical Demands: Sit for long periods of time, lift up to 15 pounds, and assist securing a wheelchair with restraints.
